Japanese forces dropped plague-infected fleas over Chinese cities, poisoned wells, and even released contaminated food to test cholera outbreaks. A 1941 bombing raid over Changde scattered ceramic bombs filled with plague — killing thousands, including Japanese troops. And after the war?
